I finished Geranium House by LHN today. My boss wanted me to use over-dyed threads so I had to do a bit of a conversion. It's stitched on 25 ct. vintage country mocha Lugana 2 over 2. I'm not sure I like how I did the initials on it though. Might have to remove them.
I have another finish but I forgot to take a picture of it before leaving work. I'll post it later.
My daughter Abby called just now. Her boyfriend Jake left town for the summer yesterday. She was at a cookout and was the only one there without a guy. She's trying hard to be a big girl about Jake being gone but it's going to be a big adjustment for her. They've been dating for a year and a half and this will be the first time they've been apart for any length of time. It ought to be an interesting summer!
I think I'll go stitch for a while and watch Mental. Have you seen it? It's kind of quirky but I like it.
Have a great night!

A Beginning
Hello and welcome to my blog! I need to start out with an apology to my friends that I have coerced, bribed or twisted their arms behind their back till their shoulder popped out of the socket in order to get them to come visit my blog. I hope you know I did it out of love and I promise not to do it again as long as you keep commenting. Okay? Joyce, I will never again hang Yoshi by his ears from the ceiling fan on high. Is he able to walk in a straight line yet? Becca, I had nothing to do with your a/c being stolen from your property. Honest! T, you'll be re-hydrated in no time at all and Reva, just send me the bill for that shoulder, okay? As for the rest of you, your family members will be released as soon as I am sure you all are commenting on a regular basis!
For those of you that perhaps have by some miracle (or coercion on the part of my friends) found my blog, I hope you will continue to visit and see what it's all about.
Now, a little about myself. I am married, I have 3 "children" ages, 24, 21, and 17. You'll meet them later most likely. I also have 3 furbabies, 2 mini schnauzers and a morkie. I love to cross stitch, read, decorate, scrapbook and watch T.V. I'm a custom picture framer/designer in a little mom and pop shop here in Papillion and as of 5 months ago I can also say I work at a cross stitch store. The frame shop started adding cross stitch supplies shortly after we began hosting a cross stitch group we like to call The Last Saturday Stitchers. They are a wonderful group of ladies and the contact with other stitchers has renewed my interest in stitching. I truly have the best job in the world right now.
Well friends, I need to get ready for work and I don't want to completely bore you to tears on your first visit, so I will end this post and get on with my day. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. You are going to comment right?
Make it a good one!
